Questions about BibPrep and the MVV exam
No. BibPrep is strictly for the Basisexamen Inburgering Buitenland (BIB), taken at a Dutch embassy abroad. The exam taken inside the Netherlands is at a higher level (A2) and has different requirements. BibPrep focuses on the BIB so you don't waste time on material that won't be on your test.
Absolutely. Vocabulary is introduced in small, manageable sets aligned with the official A1 workbook. You do not need any prior knowledge of Dutch to get started.
All core BibPrep exam preparation is completely free: vocabulary, KNS, reading, speaking practice, example answers, and self-assessed mock exams. The only paid feature is the optional AI Speaking Coach, which adds unlimited personal feedback on speaking answers for a one-time €14.99 payment. There is no subscription or expiry.
Regular apps teach general Dutch. BibPrep covers the MVV exam (BIB): a vocabulary set aligned with the Naar Nederland workbook, all 100 official KNS questions, and timed speaking mock exams. The vocabulary set is a study resource, not a fixed official exam word list.
